Sticky Chicken

A great dish to serve at your family meals or when entertaining!

Ingredients

  • 8-10 chicken legs, skin removed
  • 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 T. Creole Seasoning
  • 2 t. dry mustard
  • 1 t. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 t. red pepper flakes
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Place chicken legs in a large Crockpot.

  2. Melt butter in a large glass mixing bowl in the microwave; when melted, stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.

  3. Pour mixture over the chicken legs and place lid on Crockpot.

  4. Cook on Low for 6 - 8 hours. Begin checking after 5 hours as Crockpots cook at different temps and speeds.

  5. When done, carefully remove to serving platter...chicken will be so tender it will fall off the bone!

  6. ALTERNATE SUGGESTION: Place chicken legs in a baking dish that has been coated with cooking spray. Pour butter mixture over the chicken, cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until done.
