Poppy Seed Dressing / Dip

A light, refreshing Summer-time dressing / dip!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 t. onion salt
  • 1 t. dry mustard
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup Crisco oil
  • 1 T. poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl.

  2. Beat vigorously with a whisk, or use an electric mixer at medium-speed, until well blended.

  3. Add in the poppy seeds and beat an additional 5 minutes.

  4. Serve over salads or as a dip for fresh fruits.

  5. Store unused portion in refrigerator for 3 - 5 days.
