Spray Crockpot pot with cooking spray.
Place drained sweet potatoes or yams in Crockpot.
Stir together crushed pineapple, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon; spoon evenly across top of sweet potatoes or yams.
Place lid on Crockpot and cook on LOW for 2-3 hours. Add toasted pecans last half hour, if desired.
