Welcome Back to my little blog. Today I would like to share with you a SIMPLE, easy tablescape to enjoy with your Springtime dining. I enjoy creating tablescapes, especially fun, ones that do not take away from the pleasure of good food and good company. Enjoy these pictures and maybe pick up a few ideas for sharing at your own table.
I will start with my sideboard that I like to use to set the stage for the rest of my dining room. Here we have a simple tan/ivory woven runner I found at TJMAXX/Homegoods. It is a versatile piece I use all year long ~ indoors and out ~ for serving areas as well as table settings. If you are limited on storage areas or budget, investing in a good neutral with a “texture” look is a good place to start. This particular runner can be used for all seasons. I show it topped with a wooden dough bowl (another TJMAXX/Homegoods find) and then placed my bordallo pinheiro cake stand with a simple glass cloche to show off a sweet rabbit. Assorted woven carrots and faux greenery complete the look with resin rabbits on each side. Glass hurricanes from Target each hold a votive candle and mini carrots from Pier1. I added in some “carrot” chocolates in my bordallo pinheiro cabbage bowls as a treat for guests.
For my Spring Rabbit table, I began my tablescape with a fun, but neutral, tablecloth from TJMAXX/Homegoods. The light lined-colored background and white polka dots create a fun, festive look without distracting from the centerpiece or place settings. Another good tip to keep in mind as you look for tablecloths or placemats, etc., a neutral colored fabric with a neutral pop or design/interest and go a long way in bringing attention to your setting. Simple designs in closely-related colors add a visual interest without competing for attention with your remaining table items. Take a look at the two SIMPLE settings I share here…
The above tablescapes all began with the simple table cloth, simple linen green napkins, rattan woven charges, Oneida silverware, Lenox Butler’s Pantry dinner plates, Bordallo Pinheiro green cabbage salad plates and hand-blown green goblets. I began the simple place setting with a single raffia-type carrot and a rabbit centerpiece of Pier1 rabbits in faux greenery stems on a long brass tray. To switch up the setting, and for serving soups or pastas, an inexpensive orange bowl was placed at each setting. I chose orange to compliment the carrots on the sideboard and my built in shelf decor. The rabbit centerpiece is simple and easy and will serve me well through the Spring and early Summer months…but I never keep the same centerpiece staged that long 🙂
Here are a few more shots of decor in my dining room…

I hope you gathered some Spring inspiration from these glimpses into my dining room. Thank you for visiting with me today!
Enjoy!
