An easy, SIMPLE recipe for a light Summer-time dressing or dip!
Here is a quick recipe that my cousin has prepared and shared many times over the years. It is great on a strawberry -walnut-spinach salad…and wonderful to serve as a dip for the Season’s freshest fruits and berries! I hope you’ll give it a try!


Poppy Seed Dressing / Dip
A light, refreshing Summer-time dressing / dip!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 t. onion salt
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup Crisco oil
- 1 T. poppy seeds
Instructions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Beat vigorously with a whisk, or use an electric mixer at medium-speed, until well blended.

Add in the poppy seeds and beat an additional 5 minutes.

Serve over salads or as a dip for fresh fruits.

Store unused portion in refrigerator for 3 – 5 days.
Great dressing on salads too!
