A Simple, Delicious Chicken Recipe for Your Instant Pot!
Ingredients
- 2-3 T. sesame oil
- 3-4 boneless chicken breasts
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 T. minced garlic
- 2 T. parsley
- 1 t. oregano
- 1 T. cornstarch
- 1 T. water
- 1-2 T. sesame seeds, adjust amount to your preference
- green onions, for garnish
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, stir together honey, teriyaki sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, parsley and oregano; set aside.
-
Turn on your Instant Pot to "Saute" and add the sesame oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to the pot. Let chicken brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
-
Once chicken is browned, set your Instant Pot to "HIGH" Pressure Cook setting for 12 minutes.
-
Pour the teriyaki mixture over the chicken.
-
Close the Instant Pot and let chicken cook. Once the timer goes off, let the Instant Pot go through a Natural Pressure Release for 5 minutes, then turn pressure nozzle to release any remaining pressure. Make sure the pin drops before removing lid from the pot.
-
Carefully remove chicken from the Instant Pot. Set the Instant Pot to "Saute". Make a slurry by combining the cornstarch and water; then stir into the teriyaki mixture to thicken the sauce. Let sauce heat up for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
-
Spoon some of the sauce over chicken and then sprinkle sesame seeds over top; add green onions as a garnish if desired. Serve remaining sauce on the side.
Recipe Notes
