Today’s recipe is a yummy and versatile treat! By simply changing the size of your apple slices, you can have a dip or chunky topping for desserts!

CrockPot Caramel Apple Dip
Ingredients
- 6-8 small Granny Smith Apples
- 14 oz jar Hershey's Caramel topping
- 2 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 t. ground nutmeg
- pinch of salt
Instructions

Spray CrockPot with cooking spray.

Peel and dice apples. Finely dice for a dip or dice in large chunks for a dessert topping (as shown in picture).

Add apples to the CrockPot; then sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg and salt over top.

Evenly pour caramel topping over apples; then gently stir.

Place lid on CrockPot and cook on HIGH setting for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

If you would like to thicken the sauce, combine 1 T. cornstarch with 1 T. cold water to make a slurry. Stir into CrockPot the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Recipe Notes
To serve as a dip: use dippers such as Nilla wafers, gingersnap cookies or sugar cookies.
To serve as a topping: spoon caramel apple mixture over vanilla ice cream, or any ice cream flavor of choice.
