Day 8 and we are back with a delicious FALL treat….
Sugared-Pecan Apples
Ingredients
- 4-5 Fuji, Gala or other sweet apples
- 2 T. butter, melted…more if needed.
- 1 cup chopped pecans…more if needed
- 4-5 T. brown sugar, 1 T. for each apple used
- 3-4 T. cinnamon-sugar mixture
- garnish: fresh whipped cream, caramel sauce or ice cream.
Instructions

Cut off a thin layer across top of each apple. Use a small spoon or small ice cream scooper to remove core and seeds from each apple.

Spray the bottom of the CrockPot with cooking spray; set apples into CrockPot.

Evenly distribute chopped pecans to apples, and pack into apples. Then, add 1 T. brown sugar into apple cavity over pecans and across top of apple. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon-sugar mixture…repeat for each apple.

Evenly distribute melted butter over tops of apples…adding more if needed.

Place lid on CrockPot and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours, or until apples are just tender, but not soggy or falling apart.

This recipe will have your kitchen smelling DELICIOUS and like FALL! An easy, SIMPLE dessert that makes a great impression! The amount of ingredients will vary based on size of apples and how much is removed from the core area.
