Day 10 brings a SIMPLE dessert to enjoy year ’round!
Peach Cobbler for the CrockPot
Ingredients
- 3 15 oz cans peaches in light syrup, or use homemade equivalent
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1/4 t. ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans, optional
- 1 15.25 oz pkg Betty Crocker's Super Moist Vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- vanilla ice cream, for serving time, if desired.
Instructions
-
Drain peaches to remove as much syrup as you can.
-
Spray CrockPot with cooking spray and add peaches.
-
Add vanilla extract over peaches and gently stir; spread peaches evenly over bottom of CrockPot
-
Sprinkle ground cinnamon lightly over the peaches.
-
If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the peaches.
-
Spread the dry cake mix over the top of peaches; then try to evenly pour the melted butter over top.
-
Place lid on CrockPot and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 – 2 1/2 hours.
-
The cobbler may be a little "soupy" after cooking time is finished. I just serve in a bowl with ice cream. You may leave lid off CrockPot for an additional half hour of cooking to allow cobbler to set up more, if you like.
Recipe Notes
Save this recipe to enjoy a nice cobbler any time of year…great for Summertime to avoid heating up an oven and delicious to use in Winter with your home-canned peaches, too 🙂
