Happy “Tasty-Thursday”…and here’s a TASTY, SIMPLE Chicken Recipe to add to your Crockpot collection!
Spiced Chicken Legs
Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs chicken legs, skin removed
- 1 T. garlic salt or powder
- 1 T. onion powder
- 1 t. paprika
- 1 t. celery salt or seed
- 1 T. Italian seasoning
- freshly ground black pepper
- olive oil
Instructions
-
Rinse and dry chicken legs after removing skin…pat dry with paper towels, don't skip this step! Place legs on a plate or tray.
-
In a small bowl, combine the garlic, onion powder, paprika, celery salt or seed and Italian seasoning.
-
Lightly drizzle olive oil over the chicken legs…just a small amount.
-
Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over each leg as you place it into the Crockpot. Sprinkle and rub on all sides of the chicken leg.
-
After all legs are in the Crockpot, I like to add a dash or two of freshly ground black pepper.
-
Place lid on Crockpot and cook on HIGH for 1 hour. After 1 hour, switch to LOW and let chicken continue to cook for 3-4 hours or until done.
Recipe Notes
Feel free to adjust spice amounts and types…especially if you are trying to lower your salt intake!
