Sticky Chicken
A great dish to serve at your family meals or when entertaining!
Ingredients
- 8-10 chicken legs, skin removed
- 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 T. Creole Seasoning
- 2 t. dry mustard
- 1 t. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 t. red pepper flakes
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
-
Place chicken legs in a large Crockpot.
-
Melt butter in a large glass mixing bowl in the microwave; when melted, stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.
-
Pour mixture over the chicken legs and place lid on Crockpot.
-
Cook on Low for 6 – 8 hours. Begin checking after 5 hours as Crockpots cook at different temps and speeds.
-
When done, carefully remove to serving platter…chicken will be so tender it will fall off the bone!
-
ALTERNATE SUGGESTION: Place chicken legs in a baking dish that has been coated with cooking spray. Pour butter mixture over the chicken, cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until done.
