Today is National Peach Cobbler Day!
If you have been trying to eat more fruits, or maybe just looking for a comforting cobbler, here’s an easy, Simple, dish to make for your family…save this recipe to share when the fresh Summer peaches are available at the Farmers’ stands!
Crisp Peach Cobbler
An easy cobbler for Summer's sweet fruit!
Ingredients
- 4 cups peeled, sliced peaches
- 1-2 T. cinnamon/sugar mixture
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Place sliced peaches into a greased 8-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture over peaches and toss gently.

In a separate bowl, stir together sugar, flour and the egg to make a crumb topping for the cobbler.

Evenly sprinkle the crumb topping over the peaches, do not stir.

Pour the melted stick of butter over the crumb topping, do not stir.

Bake for 40-50 minutes until crumb topping is browned and cobbler is bubbly. Be careful not to burn the topping…cover with foil to finish baking, if necessary.

Caution: place a baking sheet on rack below your cobbler to catch juices that may overflow!
