I get asked for this recipe all the time, so I am sharing again…..
Everyone seems to have a “Best” or “Favorite” Chocolate Chip cookie recipe…and below is our Family’s Favorite! I think what makes this such a good cookie, is the brown sugar batter. Try it!…and let me know if you agree 🙂
Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 T. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees and cover baking sheets with parchment paper.

Sift together first 3 ingredients; set aside.

In a medium bowl or stand mixer, cream together melted butter and both sugars until well blended.

Beat in vanilla and eggs until light and creamy.

Slowly mix in the flour mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time, until just blended. Do not overmix.

Turn off mixer and stir in the chocolate chips with a wooden or sturdy spoon.

Drop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets using two small spoons.

Bake 12-16 minutes or until edges are just lightly browned, be careful not to overbake.

Cool on baking sheet 3-4 minutes then move to wire racks for cooling.
